Privacy Policy

EssayOnTime.org is operated by PVexperts (“the Company”, “we”, “us”), the controller of the personal data this website collects. This policy explains what we collect, what we do with it and what you can do about it. It sits alongside our Terms and Conditions, which govern the orders themselves.

Like the Terms, it comes in parts. The first covers what you share with us, the second what we do with it, the third what you can do about it, and the fine print closes it.

What you share with us

When you open an account

To open an account we need a working email address. The order form also asks for your name, a phone number and your country, and you may add your time zone.

When you place an order

An order carries your instructions, the files you upload, your messages with support and your writer, and later your ratings and feedback. Your account keeps the history of your orders.

The order form sends the email address you type to our servers as soon as you have entered it, before you place the order. If you never place one, the address is still kept, for up to 45 days, and then deleted. Our statistics receive only the email’s domain, the part after the @, never the full address.

When you pay

Card payments go through third-party payment processors. We never receive or store your full card number. What we see is whether the payment went through and a few limited details, such as the last digits of the card, the country that issued it and the processor’s fraud signals. If we ask you to verify a payment, for example with a screenshot of the charge in your online banking, we use it only for that check and delete it afterwards.

When you browse the site

Your browser sends us technical data as you use the site, such as your IP address, your browser and device type, the pages you visit and the page that sent you here. Some of it is collected with cookies and similar tools.

  • A session cookie keeps you signed in to your account.
  • Three first-party cookies, es_aid, es_first and es_last, remember how you found us. One holds a random visitor ID; the other two note the campaign or website behind your first and your most recent visit. Only our own systems read them.
  • Your browser’s local storage remembers a few settings, such as the currency you last chose and whether you have closed the cookie note.

Our own servers also keep records of visits to the order form and the price calculator, and of how you use them and your account, for example the prices you check, the orders you place and when you sign in. Each record carries your IP address, your browser details and the visitor ID above. We keep these records for 13 months.

Our cookie terms explain cookies in more detail, including how to block or delete them.

When you write to us

Messages you send through your account, by email or on WhatsApp reach our support team. If you write on WhatsApp, we also receive your WhatsApp name and number, and WhatsApp handles the chat under its own terms.

What we do with it

Why we use your data

Data protection law asks us to name a legal basis for each use. In plain words, these are ours.

  • To run your account and complete your orders. Our contract with you requires it.
  • To take payments, stop fraud and keep the service secure. These are our legitimate interests, and keeping payment and accounting records is also a legal obligation.
  • To answer you when you contact support. This is part of our contract with you, or our legitimate interest in helping you.
  • To email you. Emails about your orders are part of the contract. Promotional emails rest on your consent or on our legitimate interest, and every one carries an unsubscribe link.
  • To measure and improve the website. These are our legitimate interests.
  • To comply with the law. We meet our legal obligations and answer lawful requests from authorities.

What your writer sees

Your writer sees the instructions and files of your order, and never your name, email address, phone number or payment details. Please keep personal details out of your instructions and files, because the writer sees whatever you put there.

Who else receives it

We share personal data only as far as a recipient needs it for one of the purposes above. The recipients fall into these groups.

  • Payment processors and banks.
  • Hosting and IT providers.
  • Email delivery providers.
  • Customer messaging providers, such as WhatsApp, when you use them.
  • Professional advisers and public authorities, when the law requires it.
  • Other websites and services operated by the Company, where they service your orders and your account, as our Terms explain.

We do not sell personal data.

When data leaves your country

Our providers may process data outside your country and outside the European Economic Area. Where they do, the transfer relies on safeguards such as the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses.

How long we keep it

  • Account and order records stay while your account is in use, and afterwards for as long as we need them for disputes, accounting and legal obligations, but no longer than 10 years after your last use.
  • Payment verification material is deleted as soon as the check is done.
  • An email address typed into the order form without an order being placed is kept for up to 45 days.
  • Our own records of visits and of how the order form is used are kept for 13 months.
  • Marketing data is kept until you unsubscribe.

When you ask us to delete your data and we have verified the request, we complete it within 14 days, except for the records the law requires us to keep.

How we protect it

Every page is served over HTTPS, only staff who need personal data can reach it, and card data stays with the payment processors. No system is perfectly secure, so keep your password private and tell support at once if you think someone has misused your account.

What you can do

Use your rights

If the EU or UK GDPR applies to you, you have the right to:

  • see the personal data we hold about you;
  • have it corrected;
  • have it deleted;
  • restrict how we use it;
  • receive it in a portable format;
  • object to how we use it, including for direct marketing;
  • withdraw any consent you have given;
  • complain to a data protection authority.

To use any of them, write to support@essayontime.org from the email address on your account. We may ask you to confirm your identity, and we answer within one month. Our GDPR page sums up the same rights in brief.

Choose your emails and cookies

Every promotional email has an unsubscribe link, and you can also set Newsletter to Unsubscribed under Personal profile in your account. Emails about your orders keep coming while you have orders with us. To block or delete cookies, use your browser settings; our cookie terms explain how.

If you live in California

We do not sell personal information. If you live in California, you can ask what personal information we hold about you and ask us to delete it. Write to support with “California Privacy Request” in the subject line.

The fine print
